As a man (who was once 19 dating a 17 year old girl) I would suggest you wait until all conditions below are met :
1. You are 100% ready - you not him!
2. Birth control / STI care is taken care of (condom)
3. You both have time on your own somewhere comfortable without interuption.
4. Take your time - intercourse is usually the finale'. If you want to be satisfied and enjoy your first time then there should be loads of kissing/cuddling/foreplay/oral etc beforehand.
5. Be gentle until you get into the swing of it.
