reader, anonymous, writes (30 May 2008): I was married to someone who cheated on me on three occasions, i hated him and i just wanted him to run off with each and everyone of them. I was a battered wife for the whole of this time, with two small kids. I knew each time. He acted different. He had meetings to go to at night, he didnt want any tea, he got dressed over the top for work meetings, he smelt good, his hair was perfect, he used to buy small gifts for me. He wanted sex in odd places and different positions. He became distant and moody then after certain mystery phone calls he was all laughing and singing. He would buy a takeaway for me and the kids, say he wasnt hungry and have to go out. Then after one of them broke up, i got the beatings which nearly killed me, oh yes, i knew when each of them was happening, and it wasnt just instinct either. The list is endless and i hope to god you never have to go through what i went through, or anybody else for that matter.

 every man acts different. i have a personal experience on this as i found out 2weeks ago that my fiance of 5years slept with a girl from work. he was distant, gaurded and quiet. he worked longer hours never wanted to cuddle kiss and had a constant frown or guilt on his face. he had no sex drive and he never wanted to go out it was like a depressed state, i snooped on his phone and found out what i needed to know. all i can say is the human body is amazing and your gut and heart are allways right. whatd you feel?? if you need proof you can find it!!!! hope you get what you want i was in your position for 6months and it almost killed me!! xx

 This is different for every guy.
So I'll just tell you what I would be like (I never cheated).
I would be more distant, less cuddling, i would look troubled, I would tell you that I love you but it would have a different sense to it.
That's what I would probably do, although you can't jump to conclusions without knowing both sides of a story. Better be careful, judge him to quickly and it may be the end for you.
