It can be hard to tell sometimes.
Currently I know one guy likes me because 1) out of all the people he can choose to talk to, he picks me and 2)this was the big one, he said things like "I love the way you..."
When I was younger, a boy in my grade liked me. I know easily because he was talking about it in study hall (which I had with him)...he didn't know I could hear him. Then later when our school had a dance he asked me to dance with him.

Well perhaps you could give me a situation of when you two "interact" whether it's talking or eye contact or running into each other in the school hallway. I am not sure when you see him, or how you know him.
I DO KNOW that if a guy is REALLY interested in will consitantly respond to your texts when you're texting him, but always be the first to end the conversation to make him want more!
ALSO, if he is interested sometimes he might initiate hanging out or doing something with you.
As for body language, if you are in the same classroom, watch to see out of the corner of your eye if he moves after you do. i.e. you move your pencil to the other hand and tap it or you lean back in your chair or lean forward or maybe put an elbow on the desk. Any copied body language shows he is into you and more focused on you than the actual class hahaha.
Does he ever approach you? If so that's a great sign. If he's too shy, when you first make eye contact while even just walking watch to see if his eyebrows shoot up and down really quick. Most people don't even realize they do that when they see something they like or are attracted to.
Also, does he smile big?
Let me know how he acts around you in general and I will tell you in 5 seconds if he's into you, playing you, or just being NICE.
