If your relationship is to the point where you are considering or intending to hire a detective to investigated an associated suspicion, than you should simply terminate the relationship now. It's an indication that what you have is not a relationship but a complete and utter waste of your limited and value time. Save your money or use it to by yourself a self-appreciation gift.

DrPsych agony auntYou don't say what your suspicion is...if you suspect your partner is cheating and want them followed then it is time to leave the relationship anyway. There is no trust left regardless of what a detective finds out for you. Many agencies advertise the sorts of surveillance services that you are seeking. I would say you should be very careful who you choose as some will be scam artists who lead you on about their abilities and expenses associated with any contracted services.
