It's going to hurt either way, but you could do one of two things. Obviously your situation is vague, you could love someone who is married. Either way, I strongly suggest that you tell them. At least that way you could prevent the pain of 'what if...?' That way they also know and usually things like that pass over better.
You could just leave. If your talking about teacher or someone that is very difficult to get contact details off of, then I'd suggest you go back to telling them, however they are. Just if they are married, I wouldn't pressure them in a relationship.
If you leave it would make things far more difficult for yourself, but you may feel more dignified, and you could attempt getting over them and going out with other people.
