A male United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have been friends with this girl for over a year now and we used to be very close but recently we keep falling out. We recently had a very nasty fight and said some very horrible things and did not speak for couple of weeks. We recently started talking again but are no where near friends and I really miss her if I am honest I want more than friendship but so much has beed said and done. We have spoken about this before but at the time she said our friendship meant to much to risk on a relationship and I know I would stuggle to trust her as I do not trust her as a friend a lot of the time. Her friends do not like me and I do not like them as I think they are not very nice people or trust worthy. My friends do not like her and think I am better of without her in my life. I really miss her but just do not know what to do about trying to be friends after such a nasty fight and if I am better off trying to forget her. If I do try and be friends with her how do I do it and stop the silly rows all the time.
