How do I overcome the bad boy syndrome?

help i do have a thing for fallin for guys with bad repuations like cheatin lyin etc.. but when this one guy in particular who has told me he is attracted to me even with his cheatin past isnt showin me attention cause i "played hard to get with him" makes me feel bad how do i overcome bad boy syndrome? and get over him???
