Tisha-1 agony auntThere are no safe ways to lose weight really quickly. You have to exercise and eat right and the weight will come off in a healthy way. Focus on nutritious foods, avoid all fast food chains, and snack on veggies or fruit.

Walking a lot, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, dancing instead of watching TV on the couch, just increase your level of physical activity. This actually helps your metabolism burn off calories in an efficient way.

Good luck, and stay away from fad diets--any quick weight loss with those come right back on when you stop them.

Thats not very nice of your bf! It is you he fell in love with and that is disrespectful to call you fat, how would he like it?

These fad diets are crap and never keep the weight and fat off. The best thing to do is cut out all rubbish. Eat loads of fruit, veg and meat and drop the biscuits, cakes, crisps etc. Dance for at least half and hour a day. Try and walk about 2 miles every other day to start with. I did all of these things and lost about 5 lb the first week! Then it was gradual, 1-2lb per week, but over a spell of time i lost 2st 10lb, honestly it is the best way. But cut down and exercise, there is no quick and easy fix. Forget about these cayenne pepper diets, they are dangerous to your health. Also, go along to your doctors and get checked out first, you may have a thyroid problem which needs to be treated seperately. Drs see this all the time and he can advise what diet to go on, he may even draw you up a diet and fitness plan.

take care

A male reader, anonymous, writes (12 March 2008):

You can't. Stop it with these goddamn diets. The ONLY way to loose weight permanently is to eat healthy regular meals and excersise.

All this crash diet crap really needs to die. The simplest reason is that when you starve your body it will try to extract more nutrients from your food, try to BUILD UP FAT RESERVERS and then when you go off the diet, BAM! you swell up like a balloon.

You CANNOT loose weight quickly except through starvation and that just ain't a good idea.

If any of these methods REALLY worked, the WHOLE world would know about them and you wouldn't have to ask on a forum because it would have been researched to death in clinical trials. The fact that none of them have been proven in clinical trials says it all, it is MUMBO JUMBO.

The only way that has been proven to work long term is healthy food and excersise. Not quick, but it works and will keep you fit for the rest of your life.
