Sex is the most expressive of acts between two people, and even if they aren't able to be expressive emotionally initially, the physical signs are always good to receive.
Look at it this way, if you weren't expressive ( let him know you enjoy him) and he isn't, what would you be exchanging?
I understand this is new to you, but every woman wants to know she is pleasing her man, just make sure that his lack of not expressing himself is NOT down to him being a very clinical person, non affectionate, emotional, and just down to being a new lover. If you are a touchy, feely, open, expressive girl, then being with someone who is not long term may affect how you feel, so just see how he is over the next few months, early days yet..and as long as you know this, you can make your own judgement, which is nearly always best, as you're the one who knows what the guy is like 24/7.

I can understand your confusion given the attention on sex by the media, but that's not what keeps a guy around.
