I know it sounds daunting when my ex bf travelled abroad for 5 weeks during our relationship i dreaded it but the trick is to keep yourself busy and prepare for his return because guaranteed you will have both missed each other and there will be a lot of catching up to do. You will probably find that the first few days on his return will be great and the break will probably improve your relationship.

reader, anonymous, writes (20 October 2007): If he is in the army he may be away for longer stretches in the future, are you sure you are cut out to be an army gf? Get out with your friends, join a club. Get together all the books you have been meaning to reading and now have time to do so. Take up a craft or hobby and make something you can keep in the future. Three weeks will whizz by.

 Three week is not alot of time atal really. Just keep yourself occupied for the duration and keep busy. Maybe meet up with friends, go down the gym, whatever. Keep occupied and three weeks will fly by, then do something really special & memorable for his return.

If you can't cope with three weeks apart I don't hold out much hope for your future with this guy.
