How do I get my husband to talk more romantically?

i've been married for less than a month, my husband had to travel away shortly after our wedding...my problem is that my husband behave v.practicaly on phone, he doesn't pick up my romantic gestures and he doesn't talk romance...how can i get him to do more romantic talking...
