How do I get him to not be afraid of marriage?

A female age 36-40, *ireangel writes:

My boyfriend doesnt or is afriad to get married, because his aunt, uncle, grandmother, cousin and dad's all first marriages didnt work out. And i dont know what to do or say to help him get out of the fear that ours isnt going to be that way or convince him that he cant base their firsts on our relationship. What can i do to help him get out of that fear of getting married without up setting him and pushing him farther and farther away from it?
