The key to getting a girl is not to care too much about what they think. I know it sounds a little backwards, believe me. When I was younger, my dad told me the same thing before I had experience with girls, and I thought he was crazy. What he meant was, dont treat a girl too nice, because you'll look like a pussy. Dont put her on a pedastal. Dont give her too many compliments. Talk to her like you would talk to your guy friends. Joke with her, fuck with her, tease her. Dont treat her special just because she's a girl with a pussy. She should EARN your treating her special. DONT ask her out immediately. DONT ask for her number immedately because then she knows you just want to fuck her. Make her believe that you like her for her. How? TALK to her first, get to know her a bit, and then show her that, wow, you really like what she has to say. THEN ask her out...because "you can't believe how cool she is." Get it? Dont be a wussy. Be a man. Let HER chase YOU. That's how to get a girlfriend.

Hopeful agony auntWhat sort of things do you like? What sort of hobbies do you have?

I would use these as ways to meet girls who have similar tastes and interests - join a mixed netball team, join a gym, go to a book club or a drama class etc etc etc - whatever it is that you enjoy. This will allow you to meet people with similar interests and this might lead you to meeting someone you want to date.

But at the end of the day, be yourself, chat to people, learn about them and have courage to ask them out.

Good luck!

Don't be too obvious, don't go out purposefully looking for a girlfriend and never be someone you are not. I find it a major turnoff if guys are too obvious i.e their first question is 'do you have a boyfriend' or by the way they dress/look at you but joking, laughing and great conversation is a must as a starter. I have never found love when I have been looking for it but often in the places I was least expecting it. I hope you find love soon. Good luck :)

Floppy agony auntHello, just act yourself around people, chart to girls and flirt with them, but don't exaggerate yourself. Just make girls see who you are and joke along with them. Should get their eye on you! Good luck! But don't try to be somebody your not!
