reader, anonymous, writes (22 May 2008): Just be yourself, you cannot force someone to pick you. He has to decide that you are the one and the way to do it is by being yourself. Laugh, joke and have fun, dont be miserable of heavy going. Keep things light when you are around him, and i am sure the real you will shine through and win him over. I wish you luck.

 i think first of all that you shouldn't force it on him for him to like you because that would be a bad start to the possible relationship.
to be honest i think the best thing to do is to make sure that you spend lots and lots of time with the guy you like.
just an idea but i hopw it helps :)

I don't think that there is a way of making someone love you more than someone else (I wish there was!). But I suppose I would suggest just spending time with him and letting him see that you're a great guy, don't make it a competition, cos if the other guy isn't playing too then you might feel a bit stupid.
Nice gestures like, sending him a text saying how seening his smile just brightens your day or something like that (but then I don't know what you're both like so don't know if that would be a good idea or not?)
