Quick question,

I work in a small ofice where everybody knows what everyone else does. However at the moment we have a new manager in for this week from another department. I am a guy aged 20 an it is safe to say am fairly outgoing.

She is beautiful. She is only 23 and lives at home with her mum and dad, and it is difficult to explain but every time we talk there feels as though there is something there. I catch her looking at me and vice versa.

The issue is I don't know if she is single and really want to ask her for a drink/meal, without making her feel uncomfortable whilst managing in the same department.

I wonder if I should ask he once she leaves but if I did that it would be through email rather than face to face.

Any ideas would be great

DrPsych agony auntWhy don't you ask her to 'lunch' one day in the office on a work-related excuse (you want to ask her advice on something) - that is a fairly vague non-date work situation that you can use as an opportunity to get to know her better over a sandwich away from the prying eyes of the office gossips and see where it leads!

A good decision to wait until she leaves her position. I think her coming there breifly was an opputunity for you to meet her.

Ask her face to face. Tell her that you would like to take her out for dinner or a drink.

A woman is appreciative to an outgoing and confident male; do it right.

Good luck and let us know how it went.
