 It certainly sounds like he cares about you.
You have to just bring it up, next time you see each other face to face. Just ask him if he's having fun casually seeing each other, or if he's looking to build a relationship. Be cool about it, be aloof and it shouldn't make things awkward between you two.
It sounds really hopeful, sweetness.
