A male reader, kenny United Kingdom + , writes (27 October 2007):

kenny agony auntLong distance relationships can work, as long as the people in question are strong enough to deal with the distance and time apart. He sounds like he has started a new life for himself in New Zealand. If you feel like the contact in lessening and the effort is not being put in on his part then talk to him about it on the phone, or by Email. tell him how you feel, that you want to keep this relationship going, but to do so his has to put more effort in.

Good luck x
