I let fear keep me from doing alot of things and sometimes things i enjoy. Im 15 and im in high school and i kinda wanna be on the football team but the boys that are on the football are the type of boys who like to talk about people and play around and that like to start stuff and i don't wanna be in that because i know i will be a target. see i don't like being talked about or anyting so i just don't do stuff that will involve that. I'm a quiet guy and i watch as other people get talked about i get talked about sometimes and it makes me nervous and embarrased. I wanna try out for the football team and i don't like playing in front of other boys because i may mess and up and not know what im doing because i know nothing about football and all and they may get mad and start something. I let other boys stop me from doing stuff i wish i went to a school were people where cool. I try to tell myself forget them and stop being so nervous and do what i wanna do but i can't do it and it never works. What can i do.

You are mature beyond your years. Most boys in high school simply want to get in where they can. I have the same problem as you, you just have to realize that it will haunt you if you don't do it. Don't let what others MIGHT say about you dictate your involvement. You just need to understand that you have just as much of a right to play as anyone else. In the mean time, you might want to check out a therapist... you may have some anxiety issues.

RAINORFIRE agony auntno matter wher eyou go if theres people there there gonna talk about you or someone or something its life man. Try out for the team sho them what youve got if you dont try out for the team you will regret it the rest of your life in fact youll never get a gf ok im being a little dramatic but you need to do this for all those guys on the chess club for every guy who got pants in the hallways for every 40 year old virgin on the planet.

Look if they talk about you talk back what can they do to you start lifting some weights and take some martial arts lesson there still gonna be some guys willing to test you but youll be able to pass with an A+. Guys are crazy so are girls but guys like testing the waters to see woes the alpha dog. Ill tell you what to do find the ring leader of the guys who do all the talking and BS and when he talks about you lay into him verbally give him a toungue lashing like hes never heard even if your jokes are lame and dont make since that fact that you fight back so fiercely will take the fun out of messing with you they only do it for fun and then when your done with the leader put a fire under all the little followers asses.

Google some momma jokes but save those for some one you either hate or dont mind havng to fight. I dont condone a good ass kiking but sometmes its necessary.

well thats it join the team in ten years you wont remeber half these guys but if you make it to the NFL send me some season tikets
