CindyCares agony aunt I forgot: if you can't find a speech coach, or it's too expensive, you can buy accent reduction books with CDS or audiocassettes.

I know of one called " Mastering the American Accent " by Lisa Mojsin- but check on Amazon.com and other book sites, you'll find plenty others.

CindyCares agony aunt Take an accent reduction class, there are everywhere in big cities. It may be trickier to locate one in a smaller location, but if you contact the nearest drama school, or the local college, they should be able to help you .

The more you practice, the better you'll get! Keep talking and don't be shy. No one's perfect. I had an accent myself years back as I too came from another country but now I can speak perfect English. I would also suggest doing pronounciation exercises :) Like on dictionary.com, for example... You can type in a word you have trouble saying and there is a button where you can hear the word being said correctly. I wish you luck! In any case, accents are considered sexy to most people. Good luck hun
