How can I help my g/f when she can't tell me what is wrong?

A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Last night I was talking to my girlfriend and she seemed kind of down. I asked her what was wrong and she kept telling me she couldn't tell me. Because she has trouble communicating because of her past relationships not being exactly successful. She also says that she love me so much and that she feels like she's hurting me because of all this. What should I do?

themusicgoddess19 agony auntLet her come to you dude. If she is like me, I'll shut down if you keep asking me whats wrong.. and eventually I'll tell you. You just gotta be patient with her. Give her time to trust in guys again.. she'll maybe see that you aren't like everyone else. That's pretty important to us girls. (:

Dear Mandy agony auntHi

all you can do is be patient, and let her know your there for her if she ever wants to talk. And when she is ready, and not under pressure to talk she will begin to see your not like the other guys in your realtionship, and will probably start to open up a bit.

hope this helps
