A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

A friend of mine poured her heart out to me, because a member of her family has been rushed into hospital with serious conditions. I was with her when she heard the news and was trying to reassure her best i could saying dat they'll be alright! She burst into tears and well... i nearly did too! I've experienced this as well with a loved one, who thankfully pulled through and is now alot better. So i know what she's going through.

But if the worst happens and this person dies, i'm not sure how i can comfort her. She's a lovely lass deep down and i feel blessed that she confided in me with this issue... but i just don't know how i can help her cope, i've never dealt with this sorta thing before! Any advice will be appreciated xx

The condition of her family member has gotten worse, all i can tell her is that he'll be okay - but i feel helpless saying this to her, as in actual fact he is far from okay!

What do you recommend i can do, other than being a shoulder to cry on?
