writes:Dear Aunties and Uncles .i hate it that boys my age always go for the girls with make up plastered to their faces, with push up bras and girls who adore themselves. they dont actually know them they only go for their 'looks'. Girls who go round with a 3inch layer of make up on should just stick a sign on top of their heads saying ' i dont actually look like this'. i wouldnt say im bad looking or anything. im not saying i wish i was prettier or anything. i just wish boys would grow up and realise what they are doing! there are lots of girls who are soo nice, and are pretty but hav a nice 'natural' look. boys dont know what they are missing out on. they just go for the girls who (putting it in the nicest way possible) look like sluts. how can i get boys to like me without looking like a barbie? i would never want to look like that and never will. x x please help. and maybe give me tips on how to make people get over themselves too? i know lots of ppl to love themselves an its soo annoying. xx Reply to this Question

 Everybody is entitled to their preferences and it's not for you to dictate what other people should like or dislike.
Luckily tastes are widely different and there are plenty of guys who like a nice natural look.
You stick to the look snd style that feels more suitable to you and let other people do the same.

reader, anonymous, writes (18 May 2010): You can't change other people. Lots of girls do look very trampy. That doesn't mean that you can learn a lesson from them. There is nothing wrong with makeup in and of itself. Feel free to use a **little** just for touch-up. Guys like it when girls take the effort to make themselves attractive. Also, you should really consider using a good supportive bra. Just letting your breasts hang can lead to stretch marks and back aches later down the road.
