A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi there, my 27 year old bf (I'm 26) is constantly exhausted and I don't know what to do with him! I suffer from severe depression, and he gets very quiet and grumpy when he's tired, and I always think it's me, due to aforesaid depression. Basically, my question is how to deal/ act when he's this way. It gets me down too, and I don't know whether I should force myself to act normally, or just be quiet too. I've tried talking to him and just says "why can't you accept I'm just tired?" which is fair enough, but it makes me worry about what kind of mood he'll be in when I get home. Can anyone offer me advice please? Thank you

Hunny... my advice to you is DO NOT GIVE IN TO HIS MOODS. If he wants to be quiet...respect that and don't make it about you! If he wants to be a grump...allow him his space. Just take yourself off somewhere... go to your room..read, watch tv.. let him have the space to express himself without feeling like he is doing this to hurt you! We all deal with problems differently. Its his moods to deal with ...you worry about yours...UNLESS he comes to you obviously to ask for advice! Good luck xx
