Help! Need Advice About the Guy I Rejected

Question - (23 January 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 23 January 2011)
A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Help! I think I made a mistake; a big one. So, I liked this guy a couple of years ago, but I wouldn't go out with him because he was 16 and I was 13. We remained friends for a while but we eventually quit talking altogether. Now, I am in High School and he is probably in college, but I always wonder; did I make the right decision? I try not to think about him very much, but sometimes I have dreams about him. I have moved on from our relationship, but I have never been in one quite as close as ours was. One more thing to mention, when he asked me out, we hadn't know each other for that long and I didn't trust him that much. Thanks for the advice XOXO

do you still see him at all now? you don't need to feel bad about saying no to him back then. at that age a 3 year age gap is A LOT. he probably doesn't think about you now after all this time, you were just a girl that he asked, you said no, he moved on.

just meet someone your own age who you can be sure of, this is always a better option than meeting an older guy who you have a feeling of mistrust for
