I've liked this guy since 1st grade, and now we're in the same class in 7th grade. When we went on the class field trip, everyone was saying he wanted to ask me out but he was too shy. On the way back on the bus people kept telling him to ask me out. Finally someone else asked for him and I said yes. Then it seemed like he forgot about that day and we still hav'nt gone out, even though we're best friends. I walk with him to almost every class. I sometimes call him, but he sounds uncomfortable talking on the phone. It seems like his friends come before me. What should I do?

You've liked him since the first grade??!?! Really??!?! Is that possible?!?!? WOW! That is... I'm speechless. Let me think, I was 5 years young, playing with Lego, tag, and riding giant toy trains around the living room! WOW!

[ahem]

Anyway, if your crush has such a massive shyness problem, the solution is simple. Just ask him out instead.

And may I end this comment with, "Wow!" Since grade 1!!! Where's Dr. Pete? 8]
