Question - (17 June 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 17 June 2010)
A female Cayman Islands age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So, this man I'll call Mateo and I have been seeing each other for four months and I'm extremely confused. He has all these pet names for me, he's always offering his help when something comes up, we can't seem to stop kissing or snuggling closer to each other at times, we have a blast just watching movies at his place and making dinner, he buys me clothes he thinks I'll like when I'm not with him, he used to pick me up from school (I'm on break now), and spends both days he has off a week with me-we see each other at least 3x a week and every time for at least a few hours. He says he loves having me fall asleep on him and tells me how he misses me when hes away. Guys, do these things mean something? He never has officially asked me to be his girlfriend and I doubt he's told anyone about me...if he did ask, would we even work? Mateo is fourteen years older than me. He's latino, I'm black. He's organized and focused..me, not so much :p He's arrogant sometimes (and knows it) he says I'm very modest...help?

A female reader, ctds001 United Kingdom +, writes (17 June 2010):

The question is do you think a relationship can work?

Do you feel embrassed by the large age gap?

Is this just something nice to be doing for now?

Is he someone who you can't live without or someone you just like passing time with?

As he is not pushing you for commitment and you are not pushing him, why don't you just let time tell?

Good luck keep us updated x
