Hi, my partner has started a new job about two months ago, before this he was off work for about 18 months because of an operation. I supported him the whole time, so now he's started work we split the bills, which I thought was working well.

He has £60 a week to spend what he wants on, while I have £20 to get me and my son what we need for the week (eg bread, milk). But he is saying it's not enough and he wants more and is even saying he will get another job in the evenings. But he knows I don't want him to do this.

Should I let him keep all his wages for what he wants and pay all the bills out of my wages?

Hi

If your partner if the father of your son he has a responsiblity to your son. Sit down and explain the situation and tell him not to be selfish as it's not only about him! No you shouldn't have to leave on £20 for one week You split the bills! The world is real world is tough and paying bills of one of the things you need to do!
