writes:Ok so I have been dating this American guy for about 6 months now and he promised me he would come to see me on halloween but he said he can't come anymore because he just had a car accident and needs to go to a court and if he doesn't he will have to go to a jail for 6 months. so he broke the promise I think my boyfriend lies to me about coming to visit my country because he had so many bad excuses for example he told me that he had to get a new car because this one is too old about 15 years and secoundly he had to get a new apartment because right now he is living with his ex-gf and the last reason is that he has to get a laptop because I told him to book a flight and a hotel room so he said he has to get one. I'm so confused right now should I give up on him? I don't wanna continue talking to him anymore but he said he loved me and don't wanna break up with me. well I don't want to hear his lies anymore and dont want to wait longer. What should I do? Help me pls.

 He is just stringing you along, he has no intention of visiting you, maybe he does need a new place to live, maybe the girlfriend is an ex (maybe not) maybe he did have a car accident, maybe he does have to appear in court, maybe he did need to buy a new laptop, but not to buy a ticket or book hotel, none of these excuses, not one of them, is enough to stop him forming a saving plan and concerted effort to set a date to come and visit you.
I wouldn't bother with him anymore, there are plenty more fish in the sea.
