this is going to make me sound awful, but here goes.

My boyfriend and i have been together for nearly 5 years now, we got together when we were quite young and he never really seemed to mature and we're having a lot of problems because of this.

A female reader, mollyze Serbia +, writes (22 January 2008):

Well, either he grows up, or you outgrow him. You can't hurry growing up, it happens later for some people, your boyfriend being one of those. If you feel like waiting, you'll have to really try hard in your relationship, but it will pay off. If not, you'll save yourslef a lot of trouble. Only YOU know him, and only YOU know yourself good enough to see if it's worth it.
