A female Singapore age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi everyone out there,

I really needed help with some friendship problems. Well I am taking this radio practicum module in my school and my 2 co-hosts for the programme are my two close frens namesly Amanada and Glady.

Amanda is someone who is very vocal and can speak with strangers like old friends. And Glady she is pretty indecisive but because her grades are a little better than me and she always view people's values this way so she respected Amanda more than me.

Then during our last radio session, I have prepared alot of content and also written a script for them. However, they just told me to say anything we want as they feel that radio does not need a script. Then of course we messed up the entire session with Amanda keep repeating the same old thing over the broadcast.

To make things worse for me, Glady praised Amanda for her quick-witted reply during the on air shwow. Howwver I feel that it is atrocious and after our show our listeners commented for our lack of content.

I am really pissed as I feel that Glady and Amanda simply ignored my part and effort in the radio. They are my close friends and just now Glady asked me the dates of availability for a meeting to discuss for our next radio session. I heck care about them and just told her to let me know date they are free.

I am upset that they did not respect me as a fellow partner and I see no point in contributing as they doesn't believe in what I said. What should I do?

A female reader, Gleek4Life United Kingdom +, writes (21 February 2011):

Show them the feedback that you got from the listeners and tell them that your radio show needs more structure. Speak to them and tell them how important this project is for you and if they can't do it properly with you then not to bother at all. If they are true friends and they know how upset you are, then they'll do as you request. If not, then are they really friends worth having?
