hi im 16 and have my school prom soon. the thing is im going 2 be getting all dressed up and i am really self conscience because i have a really dark mole on the back of my shoulder. i hate it so i never wear things that show my shoulders. so i can never wear strappy tops, or ever tops with no sleeves. i always have 2 wear t-shirts so it hides the mole!

whenever i see a top with no sleeves and i love it and want it, i then i think about my mole and how it will show if i wear it, so i dont buy it.

its not raised so i dont think i can get it removed!

so im gonna go searching for a prom dress with my friends this weekend and they will pick out dresses and i bet their wont be many dresses with sleeves. so they will get me 2 try dresses on but i bet some of them will have no sleeves and im too embarressed 2 try it on cos they will see the mole.

ohhh what am i going 2 do?

Lots of people have moles and more than one, so I think you are obsessing over nothing...and no one else would find it unattractive, it is a shame that you are letting it keep you from wearing the clothes you like.

You can have it removed with a laser if it really bothers you that much and it is always a good idea to get really dark moles checked by a doctor to make sure they are not pre-cancerous.

Buy that dress and have a great time at your prom!
