 Two scenarios:
1) Condom-wearer. Guy shoots his load into the plastic. While he still has some hardness he withdraws, throws the condom away, wipes himself clean, gets into bed. Falls instantly into blissful sleep.
2) Non-condom-wearer. Guy shoots his load into his favourite lady and just lays there, savouring the experience. He doesn't care how long it takes to withdraw - it really doesn't matter if he has lost all hardness or not. He just pulls out when he feels like it (or when she pushes his big, fat sweaty body off of her).
Depending on the lady she may or may not (usually will) get up and tidy herself up a bit. She probably has semen oozing out of her and no-one likes a wet-patch on the bed. *
* note that by the time she returns chance are the fella has fallen asleep
