reader, anonymous, writes (22 January 2009): I've never thought about it but i honestly think that each individual decides what they do. and as long as they are respectful and dont become obsessed or addicted its their decision to make. i dont care about girls masturbating or guys. i figure everyone on the planet masturbates just no one talks about it.

 Basically, I agree with "satindesire" in that masturbation is acceptable for anyone, and that it is healthy and normal, providing that actual sexual interaction with another is unavailable. Real sex with a mate is infinitely much better and more satisfying, however. Real sex also provides the potential benefits of friendship, companionship and love, which palms and fingers lack.
