 It could be innocent - maybe you are 'teachers pet' good at sports or it could be something more sinister. At this stage it is hard to tell. If he does anything inappropriate then you really must tell another teacher or your parents because it means he is a risk to children and should not be in a school environment.

reader, anonymous, writes (12 June 2007): I don't know, but if he makes you feel uncomfortable then avoid him as much as you can....your gym teacher would lose his job if he were to try and touch you inappropriately, you are a kid and he is entrusted with your safety and well being, and he has to respect the boundaries between student and teacher...so perhaps you are just imagining the weird looks, and somebody has to be chosen to be on his side, so you may be making too much out of nothing.
