writes:I am in high school. I have not have to much luck with the girls. I have no problems talking to girls. I am friends with lots of them, are never shy around them, make them laugh alot, and I always act my self in front of them. I tend to hang around more of "bad boy" crowed, by which I mean I party alot and do some shady things. I'm not trying to brag here but I am one the most intelligent people in my year and I get told so a lot. Then I have been told by several girls that I am such a nice guy and it would be weird for them to see me being mean. Do girls find this kinda guy to be attractive. I mean do they want a intelligent and nice guy that hangs with the "bad boys". Girls please give me advice, do u think i sound attractive to the typical high school girl and any advice on how i can to better with the girls cause i at least think I do everything right but yet i still have no luck.

reader, anonymous, writes (15 February 2011): By hanging with the 'bad boy' crowd, and listing the things you do that you think girls will like, it sounds like you're trying too hard and pretending to be something you're not. The minute you stop trying to make yourself a personality and start actually revealing who you really are, you'll attract attention. Girls can see straight though a fake persona.

typically, you've got the right qualities. smart, funny, caring, but a bit of a bad boy also, which makes you interesting, never boring. i'm sure as far as personality goes, you're good. but being attractive also rests on looks, unfortunately. so you need to think if you're attractive physically.
advice, to me it sounds like you have no problem talking to girls, it's just an issue of getting it further than that. i think that the girls don't know if you like 'em or not, since you show no sign of it. i'd say turn up the flirting a bit, see what kind of reaction you get. won't hurt any, besides, girls love a flirt.
good luck, seems like you've got all the right qualities to get a good response from a girl.
