Hi, recently a guy that i know has said things such as: "you are a very special person", and "u bring out the best in me" "i feel comfortable talking to you" and various other comments.

I was just wondering what this meant, does he value our friendship or does he like me? we are both single at the moment.

lisa_01 agony aunti agree with hopeful with this one, there is that small chance that his just being nice as a friend but really i think his trying to send you hints that he likes you for you, if you like him maybe flirt a little and see what type of response you get.

Hopeful agony auntTo me that sounds like something you would say to a friend who you were interested in something else with.

They are really lovely comments and I think this is his hint to perhaps take something further.

However, he could have just been being friendly.

I think if you are interested too, give him a call and arrange a catch up - just the two of you - dinner or something and see where things lead.

They are comments which you don't hear a guy say those sorts of things often - it is fairly deep for just a platonic relationship
