CarrieMagdelene agony auntProbably shouldn't be answering this question because I don't really fall into the 'big' catagory. I wear a size 2 in Abercrombie or American Eagle, and sometimes, depending on the style, a zero. Aside from that, I'm flat in the chest (34B), and have like...no butt, lol. I'm only 5'3. I used to be kind of an on-and-off anorexic, but I stopped that. My boyfriend says he loves my skinny body, but when I went on birthcontrol and started eating up everything in sight...I kinda have a belly on me now. My sizes haven't changed, but he says I'm more 'squishy', and comfortable to cuddle with. Babies used to hate when I held them because I was too bony (my collar bone sticks out, still), but now they love me. A little extra meat is flattering. Otherwise your clothes look like they're hanging on a stick.

I guess men really like something pretty to look at, but love something to hold and cuddle that won't put thier eye out with a rib, lol. There are two kinds of men in this world: Those who are shallow and only like the body, and those who love the personality.

neeneeuno agony auntThe other day i read that over 55% of men surveyed sit at home and fantasise about Fern Britton. Men love something to hold onto and something to love and cuddle, the most important thing is that you learn to love yourself and anyone will, everyones beautiful in their own way and i bet you are too.

I definitely don't prefer skinny women. I find them too unhealthy. I prefer someone who has a bit of meat - looks healthier. Mind you all of the women I have dated or have been attracted to were quite short: tallest 5-6, shortest 5-2, so their size was proportionate to their height.

I have no problem with it, as long as you are wearing the right clothes to go with it. I wouldn't reccommend mini skirts and crop tops at all, but otherwise, I would be fine with it.

i think most people find bigger girls more attractive. i'm a size 8-10 and would like to be a 14-16. i just think it looks better, and i know if i was a man i would find that so much more attractive than a rake in clothing! hehe x

A female reader, Carina South Africa +, writes (3 February 2007):

Carina agony auntHi! This is a question I asked myself for many years as a size 16. The answer is 'yes'. There are lots of guys who like bigger girls, but they're often too worried about what their friends think to admit it. You'll find as you get older and the men you meet are more mature, you'll have plenty of admirers. The main thing is to keep happy about yourself and not let it get you down. If you accept yourself for what you are and like yourself, then that comes over to other people and they'll think you're great too! Look around you at all the gorgeous bigger women and you'll see plenty of them with gorgeous men. Many men don't fancy skinny girls at all and love big buxom types. Hang in there and you'll meet someone who'll love you for who you are and not for what his friends think. Promise!
