reader, anonymous, writes (5 April 2011): If your personality sparkles, who cares if your teeth don't? :) During your teenage years, unfortunately physical appearance is often given more importance than it deserves in comparison to the value of character, so don't let it knock your confidence if a girl ever turns you down when you're young on the shallow criterion of looks alone. The older you get, the more things even out!
In terms of asking a girl out, it depends on what sort of person she is and how well you know her; if she's shy and/or you've admired her from afar, a letter can be a lovely way of letting her know how you feel. If she's outgoing and/or you're already pretty close, invite her out to do something fun like bowling (alone or with a group of friends) and have a private word with her there. Just follow your heart - it often knows best. Good luck!

 Well honestly, you have to be attracted to each other for anything to work out. The whole "it's what's on the inside that counts" only works after you're actually in love with someone. For instance, if someone I loved got his arm dismembered by a passing RV, I would still love him. Now on to your question...
Yellow teeth is a definite turn of for me. Just order some of those Crest whitening strips and you'll have white teeth in no time. Or you can just go for it and see what happens, maybe it's not a big deal to her, afterall everyone is different.
Where do girls like getting asked out? Like where should you ask her or where should you go if she says yes? Take her to the zoo!
