Dating my stepbrother and keeping it a secret from our parents

A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Is it ok for me to date my stepbrother? My mom and step dad have known each other for a while now and got married last year. I have known my step brother for almost ten years now but I have never considered him as a brother. We have lived together for a while but he moved out a couple of years ago. We have always had a close relationship and I consider him to be one of my best friends. Recently, things have changed and I see him more than a friend and he sees me the same way. We are seeing each other but keeping it a secret from our parents because we don't want to tell them unless we know that it is serious. Any advice?

I would advise you both look elswhere for love, sex etc. You both know this is inappropriate and that is why you are keeping it a secret. Goodluck!
