I slept with a stripper 4 months ago and ended up pregnant. I haven't been in contact with him much since then, just to tell him about the baby and stuff like that. He seems interested but that's not the problem. I found out from a friend of his that he's on steroids. Will there be a risk to my baby? I've heard babies can be born disabled if the parent has been on illegal drugs like steroids? Help!!!

penta agony auntYou'll need to cut and paste the entire URL below -- it needs the stuff after the '?' to tell the site which question to go to. I don't know why it's not taking the entire web address for this site, but you'll need all of it...

Just in case, I'm going to cut and paste the entire answer, below:

"In situations like this, the NLH Primary Care Question and Answering Service would strongly recommend GPs and health workers to contact the National Teratology Information Service (NTIS) for the very latest information on drug and chemical safety during pregnancy or breast feeding. Their phone number is 0191 232 1525. They are a dedicated service and will have much better information resources at their disposal.

"We did look for specific literature on the topic but was unable to find any, making contact with NTIS all the more relevant."
