pebble agony auntYour reply hadn't come through when I wrote my first post, but most of what I said still stands.

If he has had unprotected sex with girls in the past then you absolutely need to use a condom. Look after your body, don't let it come into contact with diseases that could harm your future.

Latex-free condoms!

pebble agony auntThat is very good question anonymous male!

What you need to think about sweetheart is how the hell does your boyfriend know he is allergic to condoms if he has had sex yet?

And even if he is then there are lots of latex free condoms out there anyway that are a made from a material your boyfriend won't be allergic to. They are usually available next to the usual condoms in most stores these days.

If he still won't use on after that then he is quite simply a liar.

Condoms are the only way to protect yourself against infections. So if you don't want to catch a disease that will make you infertile or possibly kill you, then you NEED to use a condom. Whether your boyfriend likes it or not.

No condom, no sex!

baabe agony auntthanks em :) you are a big help :) although the anonymous person who asked me how he knows he's allergic to condoms, that was a completely pointless question. Obviously he isn't a virgin .

A reader, anonymous, writes (16 June 2009):

He could be lying, or he could be allergic to latex, there are non latex condoms available, but if you don't know how to have protected sex in other ways then you're not actually ready to have sex, to be honest.

There is no such thing as 100% effective contraception so unless you're willing to risk pregnancy, you should wait. There are other ways of being intimate with your boyfriend that don't involve sexual activity.

Here's a question you should consider. How does your boyfriend know that he is allergic to condoms?

A female reader, Emjo United Kingdom +, writes (16 June 2009):

Emjo agony auntNot to preach down to you but personally i dont feel anoyone is mature enough to have sex at thirteen... but thats not going to help you as i assume your going to be rather set in your ways...

I'd suggest birth control methods such as the pill, diaphram or the implant however these depend on your comfortableness with visiting the doctor about such things. (please note that if your not maybe your not mature enough to be having sex..? not necessarily true but in some cases...).

I stongly adivse that you dont just think "screw it!" and do it without one... that would be the worst possible thing for you to do... and i wouldnt even contemplate recommending the morning after pill as it does infact make you feel rather ill :(

So after concidering all the options you need to find one thats best for you, possibly research methods of birth control online, speak to trusted adults, post questions about them and get as much information as you can about them. im not sure if some things are based on age as you will still be developing lots im not sure if certain things will be available to you...

Just take care of yourself..

Em :)
