writes: I have been with my boyfriend for 2 years now and have come to a brick wall. He was seeing another girl behind my back for a few weeks last year, but swore that they didn't do anything. They split up when he realised that she didn't really want him as she had a boyfriend too. Since then, she has tried to get him back by texting him and leaving messages for him in the pub where he works. Last week he said that he wanted a lads' night out so I went out with the girls and met up with him at the end of the evening. This is when he told me that, that evening he met up with this girl. Now he's acting suspicious and won't let me even go to the pub with him anymore, he says that he need time to be on his own. Is he back with her behind my back or am I just being paranoid?

reader, anonymous, writes (21 May 2006): No your not being paranoid my dear you are listening to you gut instincts. My suspicions are he is seeing this girl and maybe has a dilemma which girl to choose. Ditch him now, save yourself further heartache and if he is really the one for you, he will come back to you.But make sure he really means it! No girl deserves to be made to feel as though they're second best!!!
