ok well i broke up with my boyfriend of 8 months yesterday coz he reli upset me with some things he said and things hadnt been right in a while and he agrees and we are now friends. I am in college by the way and 17. Anyway, i want to know if there's a certain amount of time which would be good to wait before trying again with a new relationship with this guy i broke up with coz i regret it and i still care for him dearly. thnx

Umm i ment this same guy i wanna get back with him i know i broke up with him but i love him and i dunno he was my first and he means so very much to me and i want more than frienship and i know it sounds so very selfish but please i just want another chance with him and how can i make our relationship work this time if it does go ahead?

There is no such thing as a certain amount of time to get over someone and get on with a new person. I mean, there's another thread about a married woman who's supposedly still in love with her ex after 13 years.

You just have to concentrate on your life, balance it out and if you feel it's time to move onto a new guy, then do it. This isn't a scheduled thing that you write on the calendar, though I'm sure many people do that after a break-up.
