reader, anonymous, writes (16 February 2005): This is a bit of a funny situation. First of all, is he worth losing your friend over? It is bound to cause problems between you if you both like him. Perhaps you should talk to your friend and explain to her that the guy she likes you like too. Maybe the reason you like him is because she does. You may both end up falling out over this guy to find out that he likes neither of you, and then you have lost a best mate for nothing.
