Of course your not being too soft! You love her and thats easy to see hun, She seems confused as to what she wants right now in her life. I know its hard just to be friends but you will have to give it a go, show her why she feel in love with you in the first place, let it shine through your friendship with her. She will soon relise what she gave up and im sure she will start asking for you back! all it takes is time, be friends and see how it goes. I know you can do it, just hold in there honey :) Keep me posted :)
