writes:Hey there. Ok so when I told my best friend how strong my feelings were for him, he had told me that he liked me too but he doesnt want a girlfriend right now. Then i asked how long do i have to wait because i dont wanna wait forever and then he said less than 6 months. I told him im willing to wait and some of my friends think im crazy for waiting that long for a guy. I think they're stupid and have no idea how much my best friend means to me and i have strong feelings for him, so am i being crazy for waiting that long or no ?? Thanks alot :)

 No sister, you are not crazy, I just think you might be on borderline infatuation-vs-love. One way to know for sure is the fact that you brought yourself to a reality check. How strong are this guy's feelings for you? At least you had the guts to tell him how you felt, I know I don't have that kind of courage. Be careful though, I never told my best friend I liked him for two years because I was terrified I'd lose him, even if we weren't dating we were at least friends. But with your guy, I'd suggest finding out why he doesn't want a gf at the moment. Be subtle about it though, and help him if he needs it. Remember that you can't wait forever,there are millions of guys out there, your best friend is something you can never replicate. Study him, watch if he flirts with you, give him subtle hints, find out how closely he watches you. I don't know how close you guys are though so these are just guesses.
