He is with someone else, does that not tell you something? and to top it off he dumped you for her!!
Your still in love with him because you havnt let yourself even try to get over him because your in constant contact.
You need to talk to this lad and tell him where to go so you can FINALLY start living your life,dont look bk in years to come and say y didnt you finish if for good then

Traveling works wonders. Get out of town, go to Europe, Asia, or backpack through Africa for some time. Also, you should have had a clean break. None of the 'I will remain your friend forever' nonsense.
You have had a year alone already, and that's a good start. Just complete the job. You will see a light emerging soon.
