Advice on trimming pubic hair

I am an 19 year old male living in Canada. I see there is a trend for pubic hair removal in men. I tried trimming my pubic hair once because i figured girls would find it unappealing left alone as it seems unfashionable to have a "bush." I used a barber's hair trimmer with an extentension that trimmed all the hair to a uniform length. Big mistake. The region became extremely irritated because the trimmer had made the tips of the hair sharp. I was in pain for a week. I decided to leave it alone from then on. But now i am becoming serious with a girl, and fear my pubicregion will be unappealing for her (she hasn't seen it yet.) Is there a method of trimming that is painless? Should i even worry about it? I had two partners in high school, and neither mentioned anything. But it seems trimming the bush is the standard these days. They really need to teach this sort of thing to us when we hit puberty. We make too many mistakes on our own.... :P

I'm amazed!

I've been with a lot of guys, and the only one who trimmed his pubic hair was a Turk who claimed it was popular in Turkey (not convinced since the other Turk I've been with didn't trim!). I find it really a turn-off in a man.

It's bad enough that women have to modify our body hair.

I think that girls should only trim their pubic hair and keep it neat. The fad of shaving it all off is driving me crazy. Pubic hair turns me on sexually. I like the smell and taste of it when I lick the pubic region during foreplay. It is especially flavourful after the girl has sweated alot, like after playing sport.

Then there is the added flavour when the girl is mensturating and the menstural juices blends with sweat and “cooks” in her crotch in the Malaysian heat. This is the flavour I like best. I think its the hormones in the menstural juices, but the taste and smell of her crotch at this time makes me lose control of myself. It the time for the best foreplay.

Hi there

I personally don’t dig the no hair down there on a guy … on a girl its gorgeous …. Anyway use a scissors if you gave a steady hand, and a mirror so you don’t end up castrating yourself, by using a scissors the hair wont go hard at the ends at all but it will be shorter… and look neater

I'm a 22 year old female who's dated a reasonable number of guys, and discussed such topics in depth with all my female friends - I really don't think having pubic hair is an issue.

If a guy was exceptionally hairy then I think trimming would be in order, but if it's not getting in the way of business it's no big deal.

Personally I don't really like the NO hair look down there on guys, and I don't know any of my female friends that do either.

It will vary from girl to girl, so when you're comfortable enough with the girl ask her what her preference is and go with that.

Yeah i think the older he gets mind you the less hair there is there to trim!!! Still it keeps that area hygenic and pleasant to be around!!!

My husband has been using good old fashioned small scissors for 20 yrs and not once pulled a hair he has never found this method high risk!

Good old fashioned scissors and away you go trim to your heart's content just be careful not to nick yourself but you can't go wrong just pretend your a barber! giving yourself a short back and sides!
