A reconnection but I'm not sure if its worth it!

I met a male friend in 2000 at school we hit it off big but never dated. We stayed friends for about a year and a half until I moved away. We eventually stopped talking...years later in 2008 he finds me on facebook and allthese feelings he said he had then came out as well as the ones I had. Haven't really talked about beginning a relationship but he states that he wants me in his life and that's all he knows. We have kind of gotten into disagreements that led to me inviting the idea of going our seperate ways...but he never goes or stays away. I really don't know what to make of all this I'm planning to visit him this summer but don't know if its worth all this...I'm kind of confused, I think that once we see each other we will end up talking but not sure...help?
