writes: If you have a gate that makes a sound when opened. Always keep your car keys beside your bed. Why?If you hear some one come though (brake in) push the panic button...if you dont have one...GET ONE! No one is going to stick around once the alarm goes off, people will be looking out their windows to see whts going on ect.If your in a parking lot and some one is tryn to do something wrong to you...Panic button, some one will be looking to see whats going on..that person will be running off. keep your keys in your hand.Friday. Some one was trying to get though the gate (yes i have one) but i have 5 dogs...who ever it was ran off. My dad found a lift thing i dont know what it is...but the thing you use when you have boxes, its on wheels. Anyays something was going to happen. We had the porch lights on, doors open, house lights on....so it was pretty stupid to try. I love dogs....Everyone should have a nice guard dog...or a panic button to get the car alarm.Thank for your time-Bunnie Reply to this Article

reader, anonymous, writes (21 September 2008): A home should always have a burglar alarm system. You will feel safe knowing that should anyone attempt to break in, the alarm will go off.
If you can get a dog, please do so. Dog's have a good sense of hearing every little noise that goes around outside and inside your home. Having a dog bark a lot will definitely deter any intruders. They do not wish to get bitten by a dog especially.
Keeping your house clean and tidy on the outside will mean that people are living at the house. A house with a garden overgrown and messy will tell intruders you are away and not at home.
For females, get a pepper spray. It will help you take control of a bad situation, and the spray will definitely blind and hurt the attacker. Watch yourself at night, try not to go out at night alone.
Remember though some people can be daring, but having the lights on, lots of noise and a dog barking...will most likely scare away the intruder...
Break in's are regular in every part of the world. Although depending on the suburb you are in, some have more troubles with these than others do.
